What We Believe

I - Holy Scriptures

We believe that the Bible, comprised of the sixty-six canonical books of the Old Testament and the New Testament, is the verbally, plenary, inerrant, inspired Word of God. We believe that the Scriptures were without error in the original manuscripts. We believe that the Scriptures we have available to us today are the infallible, inerrant Word of God. We believe, therefore, that the Bible is our authority for faith and practice.         (2 Timothy 3:16;   2 Peter 1:20-21)

II - The God Head

We believe in one triune God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.            (Deuteronomy 6:4;            2 Corinthians 13:14)

III- Jesus Christ

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became a man, without ceasing to be God, having been begotten of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men  (John 1:14;   Luke 1:35; Luke 19:10) ; that He accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a sacrifice and that our justification is made sure by His physical resurrection from the dead (Romans 4:25; Ephesians 1:7; 1 Peter 2:24); that He ascended to Heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God, where He is our High Priest, He fulfills the ministry of representative, intercessor and advocate (Acts 1:9; Romans 8:34; Hebrews 4:14-15 and 7:24-25). We believe in the blessed hope: the personal, imminent, pre-tribulational and pre-millenial coming of the Lord Jesus Christ for His redeemed ones; and in His subsequent return to earth with His saints to establish His Millenial Kingdom (Titus 2:13; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-15; Zechariah 14:4-11; Revelation 19:11-16 and 20:1-6).

IV- The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is a Person that convicts the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment; and that He is the agent in regeneration: baptizing all believers into the Body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them unto the day of redemption (John 16:8-11; 1 Cor. 12:12-14; Eph. 1:13-14). He is the Divine Teacher who guides believers into all truth, and that it is the privilege and duty of all the saved to live sanctified lives and be filled with the Holy Spirit (John 16:7-14; 1 John 2:20; Eph. 5:18;               1 Thess. 5:23)

V - Satan

We believe in the personality of Satan, that he is the unholy god of this age and the author of all the powers of darkness, and is destined to the judgment of an eternal justice in the Lake of Fire (Isaiah 14:12-17; Matthew 4:1-11; 2 Cor. 4:4; Eph. 6:12; Rev. 20:10)

VI- Creation and Fall of Man

We believe that man came by direct creation of God; that he was created in innocence under the law of the Creator, but sinned and fell from his happy, sinless state. Mankind is now sinful by nature and under condemnation without defense or excuse (Genesis 3:1-6; Rom. 1:18). Man was created in the image of God, but is now totally depraved and of himself is utterly unable to remedy his lost condition       (Gen. 1:26-27; Eph. 2:1-3, 13)

VII- Salvation

We believe that salvation is wholly of grace, through the Mediator, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who by appointment of the Father took upon Him our nature, yet without sin, died upon Calvary's cross, a blood atonement for our sins. After three days He arose from the grave to give victory over death, Satan, and our sin (Isa. 53:4-7; John 3:16-18; 1 Cor. 15:3-4; 1 Pet. 1:18-19; 1 John 4:10). We believe that repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ are the only conditions of salvation and, and all that are truly born again are kept by God the Father for Jesus Christ and they are secure in Christ forever (John 6:37-40, 10:28-29; Rom. 8:35-39; Eph. 2:8-9; Acts 2:38; Isa. 55:7;       Luke 13:3)

VIII-The New Nature and Sin

While we recognize the struggle against the remnants of sin dwelling in the life of the believer , we also joyfully recognize the fact that genuine believers have been made new creations in Christ, partakers of the divine nature and have been given "everything pertaining to life and godliness" (Galatians 5:16-25; Colossians 3:6-10; 2 Pet. 1:2-4; 2 Cor. 5:17; Gal. 2:20).

IX- The Eternal State

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all persons: the saved to eternal life, the unsaved to  judgment and everlasting punishment (Matt. 25:46; John 5:28-29;                   Rev. 20:5-6,12-13).

X - Ordinances

Communion & Believer's Baptism

We believe that baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper are gospel ordinances belonging only to regenerated believers     (Matt. 28:19; Acts 2:38, 42; Matt. 26:26-38; 1 Cor. 11:23-32).

XI - The Church

We believe the "church" consists of all those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, are redeemed through His blood, and are born again of the Holy Spirit. The local church is a body of believers in Christ who are joined together for the worship of God, edification through the Word of God, prayer, fellowship, the proclamation of the gospel, and observance of the ordinances of baptism and the Lord's Supper  (Acts 2:42-47, 20:28; Eph. 5:25-27).
