SUNDAY EVENING PRAYER MEETING

 "The Boiler Room" 6:00 PM- 7:00 PM

At our church, the Boiler Room is inspired by Charles Spurgeon’s famous term for the prayer meetings that powered his ministry. Just as a boiler room supplied energy to an entire building, we believe prayer fuels everything we do. This is a space where people gather to seek God, intercede for others, and cover every part of our ministry in prayer. We begin our time by singing a couple of hymns, followed by a short devotional that prepares our hearts for prayer. We then use, The Handbook for Praying Scripture by William Varner as a guide, helping us pray through Scripture with adoration, thanksgiving, confession, affirmation, the disciple’s prayer, petition, and intercession. As Charles Spurgeon said, “Brethren, we shall never see much change for the better in our churches in general till the prayer meeting occupies a higher place in the esteem of Christians.”
